In May of 2016, the 21st Cohort of YouthBuild Lawrence began construction of a single family home at 211 Jackson Street. For most of the 34 Students, this will be there first time working at a construction site. They will participate in all aspects of the construction of the home and will labor in the heat, the rain, the cold and the snow. In December of 2016, Cohort 21 completed the program and in March of 2017, Cohort 22 will resume work on this house.

When completed 211 Jackson Street will contain the blood, sweat and tears of 68 young people committed to changing the future for themselves and their families. 211 Jackson Street will then be sold to a low to moderate income first time home owner.

This web series will follow the 68 students and their instructors from the original lot cleanup to completion of the punch list. New episodes will be available every four to six weeks.
